Prognosticating about the future of an industry can be tricky. Who knew the Pet Rock would become a hit? But it seems a safe bet that libraries will need to adapt to survive.
Wells County Public Library already does a fine job of integrating digital offerings with traditional library offerings. Rent a DVD, borrow a laptop, research a paper on the Internet. All those things are available right now at WCPL.
But who knows what they might offer next year...
