That's the $64,000 question. In fact, can Twitter sell anything at all? Everyone currently investing their time in a Twitter account, whether they use it to post their own thoughts, or merely to read others, is still waiting to see if their investment will be rewarded.
What form that reward will take remains to be seen. Perhaps businesses will find a way to market instant sales, or news organizations will use it to keep the masses well-informed.
