A lot of nosie about the Vuvuzela on Twitter

Sure, it's World Cup Soccer time, but does that mean we need to talk about cultural noise makers? Of course it does.
Here's what Wikipedia says about the Vuvuzela:

The vuvuzela (English pronunciation: /vuːvuːˈzeɪlə/) , sometimes called a "lepatata" (its Tswana name) or a stadium horn, is a blowing horn up to approximately 1 m (3 ft 3 in) in length. It is commonly blown by fans at football matches in South Africa.[1] The instrument is played using a simple brass instrument technique of blowing through compressed lips to create a buzz, and emits (from the standard shorter horn of about 60–65 cm) a loud monotone (B3). A similar instrument (known as corneta in Brazil and other Latin American countries) is used by football fans in South America.[2] Very similar plastic horns have also been a tradition at the Quebec Winter Carnival for many years.[3]

Apparently some fans are claiming the little horns are too distracting. Others claim it is a cultural right for fans to blast their little plastic horns in support of their team.
Whatever the case may be, the issue is also being debated on the Twitter:

@RobRoutzahn Maybe the White Sox should have a "Vuvuzela Day" at The Cell. Might be the only way to create "buzz" around the 2010 Sox.

@DustinJiles I support the vuvuzela #FIFA #goUSA
