World Cup Fever has not ebbed

World Cup 2010 has only just finished but already they are talking about World Cup 2014. To say nothing of the fact Paul the Psychic octopus is still a hot topic of conversation, as are the performance of the US team, whether they should use instant replay, and whether or not Spain should have won the whole enchilada (so to speak.)

Psychic Octopus: Call him 'Paul'

Paul the psychic octopus is predicting Spain will be the 2010 World Cup champions.

So far Paul has been fairly accurate choosing winners and losers in the FIFA sponsored quarter- and semi-finals. Whether he has correctly chosen Spain over the Netherlands remains to be seen. But he has definitely proven that it doesn't take a genius to knock Justin Bieber out of the Trending Topics list, just an octopus.

Who is Raul Moat?

Like other wanted felons before him, Raul Moat (now a trending topic on Twitter) has used social networking to taunt police:

Fugitive Raoul Moat taunted British police via the internet and posted a warning to 'watch and see what happens' after being released from prison to find he had 'lost everything'.

Armed police are hunting Moat, who they believe shot his ex-girlfriend, killed her partner and wounded a policeman in northeast England on Saturday.

They have since offered an award for his capture. However, be advised, his is likely armed and dangerous....
