African Americans fail to show strength at polls

Bean counters are telling us only 4.7 percent of eligible African American voters went to the polls yesterday. This might be why there will be no African Americans in the U.S. Senate come January.

African Americans were largely responsible for the changes that swept through Congress in 2008, but getting them to return to the voting booth in those same record setting numbers has been tricky.
