(Happy) Guy Fawkes Day

Terrorism is nothing new. In fact, more than 400 years ago a dissatisfied group of English citizens tried to blow up parliament in order to overthrow the king and insert their own monarch.
Their plot was thwarted, but the memory of what they did and why persist.

Today, Nov. 5, xactly 405 years later, people are still talking about the man responsible for the gunpowder secreted beneath the parliament chamber, Guy Fawkes. He was caught on the spot. The other conspirators were apprehended later and hanged for treason.

On Twitter the Guy Fawkes Night is mocked, honored cherished but above all else--remembered:
