World's oldest Tweeter dies

Ivy Bean, Britain's oldest Twitter user, and the world's oldest embracer of the micro-blogging technology, has died. She was 104.

Twitter users the world over have taken to Tweeting her praise, pushing her to the top of the Trending Topics list.

Her Tweets were cute and thoughtful. he shared birthday's and holidays and simple notes about her day-to-day life. It was like receiving postcards from a dear old aunty.

Bean's presence on Twitter helped bolster its legitimacy among users of all ages. For that, I am grateful. And so are many, many others....
