Censoring Huck Finn

Mark Twain is surely spinning in his grave. And it's not because Huckleberry Finn is a Trending Topic on Twitter. It's WHY Huckleberry Finn is a Trending Topic on Twitter.

For some strange reason a group of folks feel the need to change the word "nigger" to the word "slave."

Publishers Weekly announced this week a future publication of the book will indeed be censored. Whether this will lead to fewer people using the derogatory term, or if it will actually change the historical fact that the word was indeed used quiet frequently, remains to be seen.

Next up, the breasts of the Venus De Milo will be tastefully painted over with a fuzzy sweater design. As God intended, of course....
